No Plan B v.1 – Collaboration with Alison Chase Movement

Our first experiment within a new immersive, tent based system was set up inside the IMRC APPE space for 2 weeks in March.  With a week to prototype out an immersive video installation and new movement experimentations with battery powered pico projectors, we created a thematic blend of movement, performance, projected imagery and sound.  These photos are from our work-in-progress event / Q&A with a wonderful audience that gave us some truly inspired critique. A special thanks goes to current IMFA graduate student Eleanor Kipping for joining Alison Chase performance with the pico projector movements and to Tara Law, a past IMFA graduate, who joined Gene Felice in the creation of the immersive video system.

Version 2 of this collaboration will take place in the first two weeks of June in a bigger, oval shaped tent on the lawn in front of the IMRC and final performances will take place in August and September at Fort Knox in Prospect / Bucksport and Thompson’s Point in Portland.  More details will be coming soon!
